Falkirk band Artesan have released a string of singles in the past wee while and this is the latest.
A slice of melodic and passionate indie/rock, it further develops their slightly Britpop-influenced sound with some anthemic qualities. A plangent guitar riff, a rousing chorus, a yearning middle-eight and some great clattering percussion, it does have all the elements to hit big, even a finger-picked wee guitar solo towards the end.
It would be good to see this lot on some festival bills this year as BM thinks they’d go down well in the open air given the size of tunes like this.
