An intersting demo set from what I believe is a band including an ex-pat Scot based somewhere in ethe Far East.
‘I Am A Writer’ is a stop-start mess of shearing guitars, like the cool end of the 80s – think Wire and the Wedding Present.
‘The Life and Times of Robert Downey’ is similar on the surface, all angular guitars, but with woozy backing vocals, like the post-rock Beatles. Well, maybe.
‘Sleepy Jesus’ starts off as its title suggests (dozy, not messianic) but kicks into life, like a Libertines with a wee bit of urgency about them.
