compersion (uncountable)

  1. Vicarious joy associated with seeing one’s partner have a joyful romantic or sexual relation with another.

A new word for most of us, readers!

The rejuvenated Strap round off this horrible year with a second incredible comeback track. So the quite amazing ‘Turning Of Our Bones‘ was not just a fluke, of course not, and with the announcement of a new album to be released in March 2021 and actual live dates later that year, there is considerable life left in this old dog – in fact it may be entering its best days yet…

Produced at Chem19 by the redoubtable Paul Savage, this new tune bounces with energy (it starts like a Slam track, that bass!) and has the classic Strap combination, birling instrumentation, great guitar work from Malcolm (Van Halen-esque squalls) and of course the half-murmur of the vocal…

Like a lascivious old friend beckoning you into their confidences, Aidan tells tales of illicit encounters, temptations, with mentions of “psychosexual shrinks” and some references (maybe) to swinging with a longterm partner, it’s up to you to decide what he’s on about, from the filthy imagination of your own minds, readers…

Some things never change, they just get older… (or in some cases, pervier…)
