This is weird. Pre-pubescent sisters performing on drums and keyboards. You could well be forgiven for expecting some Hanson type abomination. Instead we get a record that’s interestingly all over the place.
Opener ‘Massive Cure’ is a helium vocaled juddery marriage of Buggles and the Fall. ‘Rad’ is a boogiesome playground rap the like of which we hasn’t been seen since Daphne & Celetse. ‘Pigmy Motorcycle’ is the kind of noisy europop many aspire to but never achieve. There are enough ideas, time changes and weidy beats sprinkled throughout this to keep you on your toes.
The rest is Alanis-lite crap, sadly.
If they were Japanese, you’d all want a copy. Well, of half of it, at least.
