Windsor for the Derby

First released in 1996, we have no idea why this is being reissued many years after the post-rock bubble burst in a shower of dull riffs and tedious beard stroking. The opening track circles around the same drab motif for 6 minutes with little variety. Eventually we use the fast forward button on the CD player, searching in vain for any change of tempo or even an appearance of a tune. We do discover that it makes a rather pleasing glitch record fast-forwarded but that’s not going to save this sub-Mogwai slop from the dumper.
