First impressions shouldn’t affect anything but they really do count for a lot. The sleeve of the fourth album from NSS is truly terrible – a Borat look-alike stands next to a portly man with receding hair, an open shirt (complete with handcuff necklace) and too small sunglasses. It’s a mess and doesn’t bode well for the sounds inside. The music is as disappointing as the sleeve; dated dance music with horrible guitar sounds and ‘songs’ that go nowhere. ‘Comedy’ phone conversations don’t help one bit either. According to the press release NSS has released three albums prior to this that were all completely different in style, one being country, another solo acoustic. We would suggest that his resolute failure to achieve anything approaching success might be down to his consummate lack of ability in any area. He should just give up.
