Don’t Go Back To The One You Love EP
(Get Up And Go)
After unleashing the mighty ‘Never Lose Your Sense Of Wonder’ way back in 2005, Yeti seem to have been holed-up in waiting, penning the finishing touches to forthcoming full-length LP ‘The Legend Of Yeti Gonzales’.
A wise choice, as these four tracks attain a new sense of adventure, from the driving title track (imagine The Coral and Crosby, Stills & Nash jamming on a seesaw) to the eccentric, Apple-era Beatles jive of ‘Shane MacGowan’
(a comic ode to the Pogues legend, sample lyric “ Put another log on the fire/Shane’s gonna get much higher/5678/Takes nine lives just to stay awake”.) On the basis of these four tracks, Yeti certainly haven’t lost their sense of wonder, or their sense of humour for that matter.
