On The Bone Records Volume 2
(On The Bone)
If you didn’t think there were enough good bands from Leeds, On The Bone is here to show you otherwise with another collection of rarities from some of the lesser known bands on the scene. To say this is an eclectic mix of music would be an understatement, but most of it is of the alternative/underground variety and it’s mostly very, very good. Aside from new offerings from more established acts like This Et Al and non-Leeds band The Twilight Sad, highlights come in the form of the epic, instrumental space noise of That Fucking Tank, the gospel folk of Fran Rogers, the funky electro of Napoleon IIIrd and the jazz metal of These Monsters. 19 tracks in all and for just a fiver, it’s a collection well worth your investigation.
