Having previously seen and heard a tidy live acoustic version of this track my ears were suitably primed for the full-on full band cut and with major label backing this isn’t going to be anything less than polished, driving pop. I was right. ”What’s your Problem” doesn’t let up the pace from the first bars, and despite the relative musical sprint The Zutons don’t just rely on a driving rhythm. Any song that is in your head after one play has done the business and this one has achieved that with a minute still to run with the ‘What’s Your Problem’ verse hook. You don’t have to see The Zutons to enjoy the music and songwriting craft which I really believe is improving since album number one. For all those hacks that always feel the need to mention certain Zutonees, please take note, there is more than meets the eye.
