Apparently there’s an ’80s revival under way, but this Glasgow-based trio (not related, in fact three blokes) might sneer at any copyist whippersnappers
jumping on this particular bandwagon, having formed in 1989. Following a split 7” single with Alex Kapranos’ old band, and a debut album in 2000, this ‘follow-up’ shows no signs of ageing – an energetic and eclectic collection of 10 guitar rock tunes that evoke the spirit of Husker Du and Nirvana. Blending punk, grunge and speed-metal, it’s a collection that truly spans the decades.
