The Parlotones are apparently hugely popular in their native South Africa and now beginning to make inroads into Europe and elsewhere. This is most likely because simple, bland FM-radio rock still sells well no matter where you are in the world.
The most interesting things about ‘Overexposed’ are that it sounds a bit like Feargal Sharkey is singing it at the start (he isn’t) and that it was used, on the basis of an obvious pun, for an FHM feature. Despite their status in their homeland, I for one hae ma doubts that the title will prove prophetic in any way, with respect to to the U.K. Coming soon, to a bargain bin near you.
