A lush gorgeous piece of pop delight for your soul which should have been saved for a summer release.
At times the almost whispered vocal threatens to be lost in the mix but the song flows along nicely. Driven along by a twin pronged assault from the piano and percussion the song is most definitely “a grower”. Which is something of a blessing as the disc boasts four different mixes of the track. The pick of the bunch is the Late Bar Remix which owes a huge debt to the finer moments of the mighty Massive Attack. Whilst an additional or stronger voice would most probably enhance The Lazarus Plot experience there is enough in this to suggest that they are undoubtedly worthy of further investigation.
