Band founder and head song writer for The Indigo Road has devised a concept to keep the band sounding fresh and innovative, by using guest vocalists for each song. Showcasing her talents on this double A side is London based singer song writer Heidi Jo Hines.
‘Simple’ does exactly what it says on the tin. A perfectly crafted acoustic number with Hines’ breathy tones. In stark contrast ‘Goodbye to You’ has a ballsy rock sound with Hines spitting out the lyrics with venom, drawing credible comparisons with PJ Harvey.
Interesting idea from The Indigo Road, let’s hope all their guest vocalists can match their musical talents as well as Hines.
