Blood EP
(download)
The Hair must be set for big things. Following the successful release of their (Japan only) album ‘Indecisions’ the Leeds/York foursome release their new single ‘Blood’ on their own label 4 plus 5 Records on June 16th.
They sound somewhat like The Sunshine Underground, with vocalist Sam Robson reminiscent of Simon Le Bon. It’s a good mix, and the jerky guitar rhythms and electro dynamic work very well. It’s infectious disco pop.
With James Kenosha [Grammatics/This Et All/Duels] behind the production of the record, it’s kept the DIY feel that keeps the band edgier, underground and very current.
Blood will be followed by a free download from the band in July and an EP release come autumn.
