The Constellations

Perfect Day (Virgin)

See, this is what you call proper rhythm and blues, not that manufactured chart rubbish. With a sleek Kasabian-esque vibe right from the start, the song continues with a cool jazzy chorus which becomes more and more catchy as the song progresses. The percussion adds a little bit of a Tom Waits edge to an otherwise very contemporarily upbeat jazzy tune. The soothing vocals are a comfort for the ears as the rhythm takes you through the song at a relaxing, steady, finger-clicking, toe-tapping pace.
