(Demo)
Skatch, a self proclaimed “Ultra Party Power Pop” 5-piece from Birmingham slam out some energetic, well..party pop… for the under 16’s. The fairly prominent keyboards (Scarlett) do help to produce a touch more originality in this style of music where competition is stiff. No minor chords or bedsitter melancholy around this lot and give them their due they know what they are aiming for and do, to their credit, reach it now and again. This isn’t original, but if getting wasted on cider and jumping up and down next to your mates for an hour is what you need then Skatch would probably be a worthwhile accomplice. Forever On Replay is radio stuff for sure. Can they reproduce this live though?
