Intermittent Fault (...)

With all their laptop beats, acoustic guitar and those soft but assertive vocals, the obvious reference point for sixpeopleaway is Get Cape Wear Cape Fly. But on this EP, they go off on tangents that make their sound rather different. On ‘Small Fortune’, they sound like an acoustic Drive-by Argument; on ‘Dig In’ they get trippy and mysterious; and in case you hadn’t already noticed that Alistair Merrick can really sing, ‘20:20′ is a stripped down piano and vocals track. This five-track EP definitely cements our suspicions that they’re heading for big things.
