Such a BIG sound for only three guys! Cleverly blending a modern brand of punk with rocky guitar riffs, pace and key changes Severe Zero have confirmed their arrival on the UK punk / post-hardcore / call-it-what-you-want scene. ‘Silence On The Radio,’ is an excellent single, even surpassing their earlier debut offering, ‘Weapons Grade.’
More ‘melodic,’ than your average post hardcore band, the energy, feeling and most importantly the volume are equal to anything heard from within this genre in recent times. The requirement for modern punk songs to move through several ‘phases,’ within one song is ever present, ensuring a measured level of unpredictability whilst the ‘rat-tat-tat,’ military-style delivery occasionally encourages comparison to that of Anti Flag. However, it has to be said that Severe Zero have their own distinctive overall sound. One that deserves to be heard!
