This Forfar group are definitely active when it comes to promoting themselves. So much that I received this demo twice in the same day! Unfortunately, they didn’t spend as much time finding a good recording studio. The sound and mix on this demo is particularly poor which is a shame because there is definitely promise. The music is a mix of emo and alt-rock with quite a pop punk influence. The vocalist sounds like he is trying to sound like Brian Molko. However they are lacking in power which could perhaps be solved by some backing vocals/harmonies or by him trying to lower his voice instead of reaching for high notes. Musically it’s good and they are clearly full of passion. It will be interesting to hear how they develop.
