Late Of The Pier

The Bears Are Coming (Zarcorp)

Castle Donington four piece Late Of The Pier have struck gold with this Erol Alkan-produced slice of wonky pop, featuring all the best bits of Adam and The Ants, record scratching and an deep, infectious electro bassline which sounds like robot frogs burping. With a percussion reminiscent of Fun Boy Three/Bananarama’s ‘It Aint What You Do’, this is something that little bit different.

In this post new rave gloom ‘The Bears Are Coming’ is a track to remind you that there are some bands out there with a dance crossover that are actually pretty good and can be fun to listen to. Unlike Klaxons, CSS etc.
