Bouncing in on as much adequately turbulent lo-fi charm as ever, Kid Canaveral’s latest single sees the Edinburgh foursome doing what they do best; wrapping their tales of social strife in more hooks than John Prescott at an egg farm. Their latest sleeve comes complete with gaffer taped cut-outs for a cover (you won’t get that with your ‘Viva La Vida…’ download), nor would you get the eight minutes of spiky-pop brilliance that makes up these two tracks. KC have never been the most slickly produced band on the block, but who cares? If anything it merely adds to their unmistakably ace army of tunes.
