Holiday sounds like a lullaby as imagined by Air and sung by Norah Jones at her most laid back. While not exactly leaping out of the speakers, there is something gently engaging about Joan Wasser’s blissed out vocal as her voice possesses a lived-in quality which allows the track to stay on the right side of the line between soothing and insipid. It’s not earth shattering, and nor is it as interesting as the band’s debut album, but when Wasser herself sounds totally in control and at ease why should anyone else complain?
