Manchester music industry In The City will go ahead this year, from October 20th - 22nd, despite the recent death of its guiding force, Tony Wilson. The theme for ITC 2007 is “It’s A Brand New Dance, But We Don’t Know Its Name” - the opening line from David Bowie’s ‘Fashion’ - although “Always look forward, never look back…” - a phrase beloved of Wilson and partner Yvette Livesey - would seem just as appropriate.
The organisers will be announcing what they hope will be the best ever line-up of keynote speakers, panellists and, of course, bands and artists, over the coming weeks. For more see inthecity.co.uk .
