With band names like Fish and G-Dove and the ability to unleash face-melting sleaze riffs at the drop of a bandana, Aberdeen’s Hot Mangu more sunset strip than most LA rockers. ‘Necropolis’ wades in on a funked-up Primus riff, then headbutts a wall and launches into System of a Down’s ‘Chop Suey’, but not before a second wave of ‘lobe-shredding, larynx-vandalising metal bursts from your tweeters. Ouch.
