Hey You Get Off My Pavement! competition!

(summer's nearly here)

“The village fete-ry of fun that is Hey You Get Off My Pavement! returns to the concrete of Kings Court this year (Sunday 29th June) with another dandy line up of new faces and established talent.

Joining the likes of Camera Obscura (their first festival appearance of the year), Stevie Jackson, The Pictish Trail and Foxface will be Hamburg’s own experimental pop-maker Felix Kubin and the two sibling halves of Sunderland’s Field Music, in the guise of the much-lauded The Week That Was and School of Language.
Local up-and-comers The Gummy Stumps, John B McKenna, Sparkling Shadaaz and Plaaydoh will also take to the HYGOMP stage - which this year actually number two (one indoor and one outdoor), so you get more band for your buck.

To celebrate the festival’s third year, the organisers are giving away one pair of tickets to the Chosen One who correctly answers the following, stunningly difficult question:
2007’s Hey You Get Off My Pavement! audience were treated to a ’surprise’ performance from which named-after-a-dead-Austrian-Archduke Scottish band… just Name that band.

Losers don’t despair, you can still get tickets, which cost £18.50, from Monorail or Ticket Scotland.
