Son of Paul, though had you only heard one Paul Simon song in your life years ago, then suffered massive memory loss in an accident you’d probably still be able to make that connection upon to listening to this. Harper obviously has no designs on forging a path that will disentangle associations with his dear old pa, because this could easily have been a pre-Graceland hit for Paul. But while this is hardly a good move if he plans to establish himself as an artist in his own right, its a sweet, if perhaps slightly maudlin song that won’t offend anyone. For fans of all Paul Simon related products.
