Pull The Trigger / Rise And Fall (Firewater)

Celebrating the launch of renowned Glasgow club Firewater’s new label (handily named under the same moniker), their debut single is from Glasgow five-piece Electric Drugstore. Compiling ex-members of Britpop supergroup The Rising (which featured ex-members of The Sheds and the Seahorses in itself), the Brothers McKellar have now formed the niftily titled Electric Drugstore. Fittingly signed to Firewater, as this is all-out pub rock, ‘Pull The Trigger’ sounding not unlike Kelly Jones fronting a Kasabian covers band with Doors organs thrown in. Likeable then, in that it may want to make you pour beer over your head and riff along, preferably in Firewater itself. Keep an eye on those new releases too.
