As original as scrawling a stick-man rendition of Mona Lisa onto some lined paper then blue-tacking it to the walls of the Louvre in an attempt to pass it off as your own work before being ejected in disgrace onto the Paris streets, but who cares about that? ‘Oh Girl’ rocks out on a relatively simple premise – addictive guitar riff and the sort of boozed up bar-room haze romance that many of us have read about but proportionally fewer have experienced.
‘Just Want Your Love’ is pretty much the same thing, just with rather fewer demands. You’ve heard stuff like this before but that doesn’t matter. This is put together nicely enough to have you reaching for the paper, pen and blu-tack (product placement).
