This is a three piece who make a lot of noise for their size.
Opener ‘Lunch Money’ sets the scene, under a minute of barely-controlled aggression, female vocals lending to the notion that they could be a Slits or Kleenez for the new generation.
However, it’s not all about punk rock – ‘Arms Brain’ a rather dreamy boy-girl duet in the vein of the Pastels or Vaselines. ‘Waving Cat’ sports a insistent, slightly trippy guitar line and passive-aggressive vocals declaring “you are an idiot”.
The 13 songs race by as the band revisit 1977 – and ‘RU A Feminist’ is the sweariest two minutes you’ll encounter all year. They say good things come in small packages, this one is perfectly formed.
