Scarcely has a compilation been more accurately named. Raw ragged guitar riffs and screaming vocals bludgeon the ears and threaten to make your head explode. That might sound a bit overly violent, but there’s a nice undercurrent of sleaze, undercutting it all.

The Lowland Hundred

Landscapes and travel are very much to the fore on this album. Where The Lowland Hundred’s previous effort concentrated on ‘inner landscapes’ (people’s state of mind and where they were at physically, during a particular time in their lives), Adit is very much about looking forward and moving on.



Snakestyle

There’s a real, resounding eerieness which lies beneath the sound here. It’s very unsettling but quite exciting at the same time
