‘Get to The River…’ is an absolute delight of an EP from Californian singer/songwriter Alex Brown Church.
The Tunics hail from Croydon, and this becomes blindingly obvious as soon as you hear the vocals - the refreshing sound of a singer singing in a distinctive accent that isn’t a strange transatlantic drawl.
This four track EP is a sort of weird punk-pop-dub fusion with plenty of nice ideas and happy sounding melodies.
Shon Sullivan was once given the nickname ‘Goldenboy’ by friend Elliot Smith, and it’s the name he is still using as he releases his second album, Underneath The Radio. It doesn’t just seem to be a nickname that he aquired from the late singer-songwriter,
