Kill It Kid are here, I think, to save the music world from boredom. Almost never on listening to this album did I confidently feel I could predict quite what tack they might take next.
I’ll admit quite happily, as a youngster I was very much a Kerrang! reader - and I still look in on it with fondness from time to time.
No messing around with build-up here - from the first note of the first track, no sooner than you can say “shoegaze”, you’re swept into Motion Picture Soundtrack.
Twin Atlantic are all about the big melodies. They are simply crammed into this mini-album, running around, layered over each other, leading to big, cheery choruses like a younger, more carefree Biffy Clyro.
