Since parting company with Parlophone/EMI, Idlewild have enjoyed a miraculous return to form. Clearly there was nothing wrong with the starry-eyed pop sensibilities of `You Held The World In Your Arms`, but it wasn`t the hairy, grizzled rock beast that we knew and loved. Luckily `A Ghost In The Arcade` sees this beast freed from its cage, sounding more like `Roseability` than `American English`, and it proves that Roddy Woomble and the boys still have some suitably rough-cut gems in their treasure chest. The real Idlewild have just stood up.
